Tea-Infused Mocktail Recipe
Strong-brewed tea makes a great mocktail base — it adds depth and a slight tannic edge that plain juice or soda alone doesn't have.
Ingredients (serves 1)
- 3 teaspoons black or green tea, brewed double strength and cooled
- 2 tbsp fresh lime juice
- 1 tbsp honey or sugar syrup
- Soda water, to top up
- Mint leaves and lime wheel, to garnish
- Ice
Method
- Brew the tea double strength, then let it cool completely (or chill it in the fridge for faster results).
- Fill a glass with ice.
- Add the cooled tea concentrate, lime juice, and honey or syrup, stir well.
- Top with soda water and stir gently once more.
- Garnish with mint and a lime wheel.
Tips
Chilling the tea concentrate fully before mixing keeps the ice from melting too fast and diluting the drink. Adjust sweetness and lime to taste — the tea should still come through as the backbone of the drink.
